Las Voces
Las Voces is a bilingual radio show produced by Kansas Spanish Speakers and broadcast on KVOE, created to elevate the voices, experiences, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking and Latino communities in Emporia and beyond.
Each episode features conversations with community leaders, educators, advocates, and public officials on topics that matter—civic engagement, education, health, culture, and life in Kansas. Interviews are conducted in Spanish (and on occasion in English with live interpretation), ensuring accessibility while fostering understanding across languages.
Las Voces exists to inform, empower, and build bridges—creating space for meaningful dialogue and shared community growth.
La Voz Latina
La Voz Latina is a monthly Spanish-language publication developed by the Emporia Gazette and supported by Kansas Spanish Speakers.
The publication provides trusted, culturally relevant information for Spanish-speaking readers, including local news, community resources, public service information, and stories that reflect the lived experiences of our neighbors. La Voz Latina also serves as a platform to amplify community voices that are too often underrepresented in traditional media.
Together, Las Voces and La Voz Latina strengthen access to information, promote civic participation, and affirm that language should never be a barrier to belonging.
